(to the image of the rose in the history of Poetry)
rose of anonymity rose
of my lost way
setting aside your
incomplete legends
I attribute to you
these few rose quotations
may you forgive my
sighs incarnadine; rose
of a depth so singular
burning tigers cannot
rend you but
if they should, your
martyred shadow still
will be
beyond the dimming
battle lines
unfolding my last heart.
the word most dazzling I
dedicate to you wherever
it is the poem that
flares on its own
matchless as your clear Artisan
in a swirl of lost calligraphy
my small bright universe enfolded
crimson beyond all crimsons
register every shade
addressing and enduring
every negligent age

My pearlescent poems for you, my very best selected from my other blog TO THE RUSSIAN POETS at angelidicuoremare.blogspot.com which strangely, I can no longer edit nor add to. Anyway, welcome to the new blog my friend which is a culling of many colours and all for you in the name of lovely God, and the Trinity and my mother, Mary Adalyn Young-Douglas and other dear loved ones, of which you, also, dear reader, shine like an unnumbered Star. God bless YOU and worldwide lovely enduring POETRY...
